Full Lot Description
A George III silver cake basket, the fluted oval body with applied reeded rim and simple swing handle, and raised on conforming oval foot also with reed border detail. Hallmarked London 1804, with maker's mark W.A, probably William Abdy II. Maximum length 38cm, height with handle upright 29cm, weight 30.54ozt (949.7g).

Condition Report
- Appears in fairly good overall condition.
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- With some heavier scratched marks to some areas and minor surface nicks.
- With a couple of minor dints.
- Residues of dried polish to some areas.
- Swing handle appears in good working order and does self-support when upright.
- Residues of a sticker to the underside.
- Hallmarks located to one side of foot; these a little rubbed but all still legible; further lion passant and maker's mark to the handle.
