Full Lot Description
An early Victorian silver mug, of cylindrical form to a skirted base, decorated in the Gothic style with pointed arch panels, and further detailed with floral and foliate motifs. Hallmarked Joseph Angell I & Joseph Angell II, London probably 1843. Height to handle 11cm, weight 5.59ozt (174g).

Condition Report
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use
- With blackening and dried polish residues to some areas and crevices, and heavily tarnished to the base
- With minor surface nicks/dints, which are more noticeable to the plain panels; and one of the plain panels with a larger dint and deeper scratches
- Surface rubbing and slight loss of detail or definition to areas of the raised decoration
- Slight knocks around the main rim and base rim
- Heavy staining inside the mug and dirt/dust residues
- Hallmarks located below the rim to one side of the handle, partly rubbed but still legible
- Height to rim 10cm
