A late Victorian silver tea caddy, of plain oval form with circular pull-off lid. Hallmarked Mappin Brothers, Sheffield 1894. Height 11cm, weight 5.7ozt (177.5g)

Condition Report
- Displaying some surface wear, marks and tarnishing, commensurate with age and general use
- With numerous small surface scratches and nicks all over, including around all edges, and some minor dints and dimples in the metal
- Scuffs and contact marks around the edge of the base, with a slight knock or bash to one side
- Further slight knocks around the edge of the top of the lid
- Lid appears a good fit and pulls on and off smoothly
- Some stained marks inside
- Full hallmarks struck to both main body and lid; punches a little blackened but all marks are clearly legible with some light rubbing
- Further makers stamp to the base
