Full Lot Description
A pair of Victorian silver candlesticks, each with loaded and stepped square base rising to a classical fluted column with Corinthian capital. Hallmarks very worn, possibly Hawksworth, Eyre & Co., Sheffield 1889. Height 30.5cm.

Condition Report
- Bases are heavily weighted
- Both appear in a fairly tired overall condition with numerous surface marks, nicks and dints throughout, especially around the edges and corners of the bases
- Some tarnishing throughout with blackening and dried polish residues to some areas and crevices
- Some small holes in the decoration of the Corinthian capitals
- Nozzles are heavily damaged and possibly part missing
- Heavier bashes to the corners of the base on one example and baize to the underside is also lifting significantly
- Baize on the other candlestick also very worn and in poor condition
- Hallmarks heavily worn to both
