Lot Description
Agate carved with the crest and motto of the MacKinnon clan of Scotland.
The monogram MAK suggesting Alexander Kendal MacKinnon (1826-1900), a civil engineer born in Monte Video, a student of University College London who worked on projects throughout the world.

Surface scratches and minor marks.
Stated length includes hinged handle.
Agate is slightly loose within the mount.
Agate shows two small nicks to the edge of the panel.
Electronically tests as approximately 19-21ct gold, presumed interference from gilt finish.
