Launched in 2015 under Alessandro Michele’s creative direction, the Gucci Dionysus was more than a new handbag; it was a statement. Named after the Greek god of wine and revelry, the Dionysus is instantly recognisable thanks to its sculptural tiger head spur, a nod to the myth of Dionysus crossing the Tigris River on a tiger sent by Zeus.
With its structured silhouette and antique silver hardware, the Dionysus quickly became a modern classic, bold, versatile, and rich in storytelling.
