Natasha Davis, Jewellery Specialist from Fellows Auctioneers, has highlighted some amazing 'circus' themed jewellery in our upcoming sales.
An incredible collection of highly intricate travelling circus-themed jewellery, titled 'Circus Spectaculus' by modern designer Celeste will be coming up for auction this Autumn at Fellows. Elephants, acrobats, ballerinas and jugglers all adorned with diamonds and coloured gemstones are captured momentarily in their acts in the form of bangles, necklaces, earrings and rings.
The collection will appear across a few of our auctions, starting with our Fine Jewellery auction on 17th September, our Jewellery auction on 1st October, as well as our next Online Jewellery auction on 24th September. The detailing on each piece is exquisite and dramatic, with designs having originally come from human models photographed by the designer and 3D printed to create solid gold nude forms. A particular favourite of ours is the very sweet ‘Off to Savannah’ 18ct gold plique-a-jour enamelled elephant ring, with three diamond-set elephants escaping from the circus.

This is due to appear in our Fine Jewellery auction on 17th September with an estimate of £900-£1,400. Another favourite is the stunning ‘The Love Knot’ bangle from Celeste’s ‘Symphony of Lust’ collection; An 18ct gold bangle with two sensual human forms bound together with a band of diamonds. This will also appear in the Fine Jewellery auction, with an estimate of £1,200 to £1,800.
