The Silver & Costume Jewellery auction, on Friday 4th December, includes over 300 lots which will raise much-needed funds for charitable causes. These 325 lots are being sold to benefit charities including Alzheimer’s Society and The Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
We are hoping to raise at least £1,700 for these charities in our last Silver & Costume Jewellery auction of the year. During World Alzheimer’s Month (September), our auctions raised just shy of £30,000 for Alzheimer’s Society.
Some of the top lots to raise money for charity are Lot 83, three 9ct gold diamond rings with an estimate of £100-£150, Lot 190, a selection of Victorian and later jewellery with an estimate of £60-£90 which includes a marcasite lizard brooch and Lot 644, a bag containing a large quantity of costume jewellery with an estimate of £60-90, featuring an enamel brooch by Michaela Frey. Now known as Frey Wille, this brand has its origins in 1960s Vienna. The key motifs of Frey designs are colour, particularly gold. A popular costume jewellery brand, Frey Wille has over 70 boutiques worldwide.
