We’re delighted to announce that Robin Hereford has joined Fellows as our new Chairman, strengthening our senior leadership team and supporting the continued growth of our business.

Building on Our Legacy

At Fellows, we’ve been specialising in the sale of jewellery, watches, handbags, and fashion accessories since 1876. From our beginnings selling bicycles nearly 150 years ago, we’ve grown into one of the UK’s leading luxury auction houses, running over 100 auctions a year.

We’re proud to have broken industry records for auction attendance and to be rated "Excellent" on Trustpilot with a 4.5-star score. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our team, led over the last 40 years by Stephen and Jayne Whittaker.

Now, with Robin’s appointment, we’re looking forward to the next stage in our journey.

 

Welcoming Robin to Fellows

With over 25 years of experience in the auction industry, Robin brings a wealth of knowledge to Fellows. His career has included senior leadership roles at Bonhams, where he was Director of Private Clients, a UK Board Director, and Director of the Art Collections, Estates & Valuations Department.

Robin will be based at our London office in Charles Street, Mayfair, and will take responsibility for business development as Chairman.

Our Managing Director, Stephen Whittaker, said:

Strengthening Our Senior Team

Robin’s appointment follows other recent senior hires, further expanding our expertise:

  • Laura Warrilow joined earlier this year as Head of Watches, following her time leading the pre-owned division at Watches of Switzerland.

  • Paul Greer became our International Head of Jewellery in October 2023, moving from his role as Co-Director at Bentley & Skinner.

Together, these appointments strengthen our position as a leader in auctions across the UK and internationally.

We’re proud of our heritage, but we’re just as excited about the future. With Robin joining our leadership team and our continued focus on innovation and excellence, we’re confident that Fellows will continue to set the standard in UK luxury auctions for many years to come.
