Condition Report

ROLEX - a lady's wrist watch. Import hallmarked Glasgow 1927. Numbered 47048. Signed manual wind movement. White enamel dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 9ct gold case fitted to an unsigned yellow metal expanable bracelet stamped 9ct. 25mm. 17gms.

Purchasing information
  • The wind movement is currently not functioning.
  • Movement appears to display medium scratches, discolouration and tarnishing.
  • Dial seems to display numerous cracks running through the centre of the dial. Areas of the dial have chipped away leaving the base metal visible. An attempt at restoration has been made on the lower section of the dial with a white subtance being spread over chips and the number five being written over the top in black marker.
  • Hands appear to be chipped and tarnished. The hand for the subsidiary seconds dial is missing.
  • Glass appears to have been replaced with plastic which bears medium scratches.
  • Case appears to be heavily tarnished with multiple medium scratches and light pitting.
  • Crown seems to heavily tarnished with light scratches.
  • Case back currently bears medium scratches and scuffs, the majority of which should polish out.
  • Bracelet appears to display medium scuffs and scratches with tarnishing between the links.

    This lot does not come with box or papers.
