Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold ruby and diamond ring. The oval and circular-shape rubies, with diamond point double spacers, within a marquise-shape panel, to the scroll shoulders and tapered band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1912. Weight 2.2gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition fair to good. Minor surface wear and light scratches in keeping with age. Evidence of repair and resizing to the band, hallmarks partially rubbed. Rubies vary slightly in hue, red with pinkish and brownish hues, fair to dark colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in good condition with some abrasion and nicks. Estimated total diamond point spread weight 0.04ct, which is no indication of the actual diamond weight. Diamonds points fairly well matched. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Diamonds in fair condition with some nicks/nibbles. Ring size O1/2.
