Condition Report

A late 19th century continental gold and silver gem-set pendant. Of openwork foliate design, set with rose-cut diamonds and cultured pearl detail, within an emerald heart-shape surround, suspended from a similarly-designed rose-cut diamond and cultured pearl surmount. Length 6.7cms. Weight 15.7gms.

    Overall condition good. Brooch fitting deficient. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with age and general wear. Some of the diamonds with surface reaching inclusions and surface abrasions. Estimated total spread of rose-cut diamonds is equal to 1ct, please note this does not represent the true weight of the diamonds in any way. Closed back setting prevents accurate colour/clarity grade and weight assessment. Emeralds with surface reaching inclusions and surface abrasions. Some are possible replacements.
