Condition Report

ROLEX - a gentleman's Oysterdate Precision wrist watch. Circa 1957. Reference 6694, serial 1082990. Signed manual wind calibre 1215. Silvered dial with baton hour markers, date aperture to three. Stainless steel case fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with stainless steel pin buckle. 34mm. Please be aware that this item has had significant aftermarket intervention.

Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has light and medium scratches and discolouration to the surface however this appears to be consistent with general wear.
  • Dial has significant areas of tarnishing and discolouration across the surface and specifically around the hour markers. Hour markers are scratched. Date wheel shows signs of previous repair.
  • Hands have light scratching with light tarnishing to the luminous inserts visible under magnification.
  • Glass has light scratching with occasional very light chipping to the edge of the glass.
  • Bezel has light and medium scratches and dinting.
  • Case has light and medium scratches with dinting especially to the lugs.
  • Crown screws down and is currently functioning correctly, surface has light scratches.
  • Case back is secure with light and medium scratches, inside of the case back dates it to the first quarter of 1960 suggesting that this is a later replacement however it is of the correct number.
  • Strap appears to be in good condition with some light discolouration to the inside.
  • Pin buckle has light scratching and dinting.
