Condition Report

A diamond cluster ring. The late 19th century old-cut diamond cluster, to the early 20th century 22ct gold band with tapered shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Band with hallmarks for London, 1928. Total weight 5.8gms.

    Overall condition fair. Some surface wear and discolouration in keeping with age. Composite piece, made up of elements dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Evidence of repair and re-tipping to the claws. Some claws slightly misshapen. Discolouration/tarnishing. Diamonds fairly bright and well matched. Some large surface reaching inclusions, visible to the unaided eye. Diamonds in fair condition with some nicks and small chips. Ring size O.
