An early 19th century silver gilt garnet pendant.

Condition Report

An early 19th century silver gilt, garnet pendant, designed as a pear-shape panel within a pear-shape surround, further suspended from a circular panel, all set with circular, square, rectangular and pear-shape garnets. The central panel is broken from the pear-shape surround. Length 5.2cms.

    Overall condition is fair, with scratches and dents on metal surface in keeping with general wear. slight discolouration of metal. Garnets are a reddish pink, natural inclusions can be seen with naked eye. Not very well matched for colour, some darker than others. Scratches and some heavy abrasion on facets and facet edges. Inner pear shape panel has broken off. however present, will need repairing. Fittings in good working order. Replacement pin and hinge. Gross weight 7.7gms.
