Condition Report

A split pearl and enamel memorial ring. The Georgian split pearl and black enamel panel, with reverse personal inscription 'Ob Feb 8th 1827 at 56', to the replacement mid 20th century 9ct gold band. Central panel deficient. Total weight 3.7gms.

    Overall condition fair. Some surface wear in keeping with age and general wear. Composite piece. Georgian panel converted to a ring, with mid 20th century gallery and band. Minimal soft solder to the reverse. Inscription partially indistinct. Split pearls vary slightly in hue, some possible replacements. Fair skins with noticeable surface wear. Central panel deficient, significant green staining. Scratches to the enamel. Ring size N. Replacement band stamped 9ct.
