Condition Report
An early 20th century gold and platinum gem-set pendant. The pear-shape sapphire and rose-cut diamond bud, suspended within an old-cut diamond and seed pearl floral surround, suspended from a later mesh-link chain. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Length of pendant 3.6cms. Length of chain 46cms. Total weight 7.1gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- The floral detail appears quite sharp.
- The central floral drop is bent and the outer surround is off oval
- Diamonds well matched. Some inclusions visible with the unaided eye.
- Diamonds bright.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Sapphire medium blue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Stone in good condition with minor abrasions.
- Seed pearls slightly vary in shade, a couple with a slightly more yellow body colour, displaying pinks and greens.
- Associated mesh link chain is tarnished and discoloured, replacement clasp stamped 9ct.
