Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold gem-set floral dress ring. The circular-shape ruby, within a scrolling surround, to the foliate seed pearl and diamond point asymmetric sides. Weight 2gms.

  • Overall condition good to fair. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band shows evidence of repair/ resize, slight dents and minor discolouration.
  • Possible replacement gems.
  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Seed pearls vary slightly in shape, slight white cement showing.
  • Ruby is a medium pinkish red hue, well saturated, with slight light silk-type inclusions.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Ring size P 1/2.
