A George IV silver cruet.

Condition Report

A George IV silver cruet, the kidney shaped base with applied scrolling shell and foliate rim, raised above three winged scrolling feet with central boar mask and rising to three supports conforming in decoration to the scrolling acanthus leaf capped handle and reeded frame holding four cut glass inserts, two with matching silver mounts. Hallmarked Charles & John Fry II, London 1825. Maximum width measuring 10 1/4 inches (26 cm).

Purchasing information
    In good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A kidney shaped panel (8 cm in length) has been applied to the front underside. A break and some repairs to the central terminal of the handle. Minor nibbles and chips to the glass. All hallmarks are matching, including to the two silver collars on the glass inserts. King's pattern mustard and sifter spoon present are associated and hallmarked London 1831.
