A late Victorian jet locket and a lava brooch.

Condition Report

A late Victorian jet locket and a lava brooch. The locket of oval-outline, with engraved scrolling design to the front, opening to reveal two glazed panels, the brooch with dark coloured lava carved into the portrait of a lady, with black faceted pastes to the surround and a foliate engraved frame. Lengths 5.5 to 6cms.

Purchasing information
    The overall condition of this lot is fair with scratches to the metal, jet and lava in keeping with age and wear. The brooch has three deficient black pastes, the lava itself is chipped to the edge to the same side. Glass to one panel of the locket is cracked through the centre. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
