Three mid to late Victorian tortoiseshell padlock clasps. Designed as drop-shape tortoiseshell panels, the first with decorative gold foliate and floral surmount and clasp and central key lock detail with a bird either side, the remaining with decorative silver surmounts and clasps. Lengths 4.8 to 5cms.

Purchasing information-
Overall fair to good condition with moderate surface scratches and tarnishing throughout from general wear in keeping with the age of the pieces.
The padlock clasp with bird detail is in the shows noticeable drying out of the tortoiseshell in various areas, particularly to one edge and to section underneath and around the applied metalwork. Some small amounts of adhesive can be seen around the lock of one of the other clasps.
