A cased set of six mid-Victorian open silver salts.

Condition Report

A cased set of six mid-Victorian open silver salts, each of squat cauldron form having a vacant shaped cartouche, embossed flower-heads and raised upon three anthemion capped feet, together with six silver salt spoons. Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co., Sheffield 1872/3. Diameters of salts measure 2 4/8 inches (6.25 cm), gross weight 10.13 ozt (315 grams).

Purchasing information
    The salts appear in good to fair condition displaying light scratching to interiors commensurate with age and use, and with tarnishing to exteriors. Two spoons have slight distortion to stems otherwise in good condition. Hallmarks throughout are clear and legible, the spoons dated 1872 and the salts 1873.
