Condition Report

A late 19th century gold, enamel and seed pearl brooch. The oval enamel panel depicting a milkmaid, with seed pearl scalloped surround. Length 5.2cms. Total weight 14.5gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Enamel panel has small chips at the edge of the panel, one barely visible past the edge of the mount, at approximately the 11 o'clock position.
  • Enamel has further small rough/pitted areas.
  • Seed pearls are slightly uneven in size and shape, cream through pearly hues, slightly varied lustre.
  • Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
