A 18ct gold diamond and ruby cluster ring.

Description

Condition Report

A 18ct gold diamond and ruby cluster ring. The circular-shape ruby, with similarly-shaped ruby and brilliant-cut diamond surrounds, to the openwork shoulders and grooved band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.80ct. Import marks for Sheffield, 1991. Ring size P1/2. Weight 4.3gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/wear and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band has visible abrasion especially near the gallery and has a slight discolouration.
  • Claws have visible abrasion.
  • Diamonds fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Diamond on the outside of cluster is drawing a slight tint of yellow colour.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Rubies are a deep red, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical crystal inclusions.

  • Rubies are in good condition with minor abrasions to the crown facet edges, slight nicks to the girdles.

  • Length of ring head 1.4cms.
