Condition Report

An 18ct gold sapphire and diamond dress ring. The circular-shape sapphire and brilliant-cut diamond diagonal line panel, with openwork shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Import marks for London, 1988. Ring size O. Weight 3.2gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches visible throughout the band, especially on the shoulders and gallery, in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band has a very slight discolouration and only a few minor dents.
  • Band shows evidence of resize, soldering lines visible.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Sapphires are a medium blue, well saturated, with fair clarity, colour zoning and typical inclusions.

  • Sapphires in good condition with minor abrasions to the facet edges.

  • Length of ring head 1.7cms.
  • Stamped 750.
