An Edwardian platinum, pearl and diamond brooch. The bouton pearl, measuring approximately 8.3mms, with single-cut diamond band highlights to the pierced openwork lattice quatrefoil surround and old-cut diamond foliate sides. Signed and numbered Contreau, 40545. Estimated total diamond weight 0.65ct. Length 4.4cms. Weight 9.2gms. Pearl untested.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Replacement fittings. Some slight damage and repairs to the gallery.
- Some modern single-cut diamond replacements.
- Diamonds apepar bright and well matched.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Pearl untested for natural origin.
- The pearl is a slightly greenish, yellowy cream hue. Few moderate scratches.
