A late Victorian silver and gold, diamond and ruby wasp brooch. The old-cut diamond thorax, with alternate ruby and rose-cut diamond line abdomen, similarly-set wings and ruby eyes. Length 4.1cms. Weight 6.7gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Diamonds fairly bright and well matched.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Rubies are a fairly well matched pink through deep slightly purplish red hue.
- Old-cut principal diamond is estimated between 12 and 15 points, I-J colour, P1 clarity.
