Condition Report

A late Georgian split pearl and enamel mourning brooch. The marquise-shape sepia panel depicting a grieving woman holding a heart-shape item, kneeling by a tomb, to the guilloche enamel and split pearl surround. Adapted from a clasp. Pin clasp deficient. Length 4cms. Weight 13.6gms.

Purchasing information
    The condition of this lot is good to fair. The glass and enamel have very light signs of wear. The reverse of the brooch has the pin closure deficient, there is a rough area of solder to this location. The open side of the original clasp is visible. Condition reports are provided as a guide only and we recommend you inspect each lot in order to satisfy yourself as to their condition.
