Condition Report

A late Georgian memorial clasp. Of oval outline, the clasp with space to accommodate twelve necklace strands, to the glazed sepia picture, the white background to the depiction of a lady in mourning standing next to a tomb and urn, the tomb reading 'Sacred will I keep thy dear remains', to the urn 'M.Mc.G.'. Length 4.1cms. Weight 13.3gms.

    The condition of this lot is fair to good. The glass and metal has light scratches in keeping with general wear and use. There is a crack through the sepia panel running vertically through the length of it.
