A late Georgian gold, garnet and split pearl brooch. The oval-shape garnet floral cluster, with split pearl and cannetille surround. Converted from a clasp. Length 2.3cms. Weight 7.9gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Various jeweller-type scratch marks to the back of the brooch.
- Brooch fittings are later.
- Gems are very likely replacements.
- Clasp could still be re-converted with the brooch clasp attached to the clasp tongue which is still detachable.
- Garnets are a pink and deep slightly brownish red hue.
- Garnets are presumed foil back.
- Split pearls are well matched.
