Condition Report

An 18ct gold sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The oval-shape sapphire, with baguette and brilliant-cut diamond scalloped surround. Estimated dimensions of sapphire 9.1 by 7 by 4.1mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1992. Ring size Q1/2. Weight 5.1gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and very minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Mostly small, moderately profuse, scattered inclusions. Some small surface reaching feathers.
  • Sapphire is a light medium violetish blue hue. Moderately large window effect to the centre of the gem. Fairly few typical inclusions including a small light partially healed fingerprint towards the centre of the gem to the pavillion facets.
  • Minor nicks to the girdle.
  • Length of ring head 1.6cms.
