An early 20th century platinum diamond and ruby dress ring. The old-cut diamond collet, with similarly-cut diamond quatrefoil and single-cut diamond surround and calibre-cut ruby spacers. Estimated total diamond weight 1.25cts, principal diamond estimated H-I colour, P1-P2 clarity. Approximate ring size M. Weight 4.9gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Band shows evidence of repair/ resize, solder line and pitting marks visible.
- Band has inner bead sizing aids, restricting an accurate obtainable ring size.
- Diamonds well matched.
- Diamonds fairly bright.
- Principal diamond with large, light, surface reaching feathers.
- Rubies are well matched, medium red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Rubies are in good condition with minor abrasions.
- Diameter of ring head 1.4cms.
- Electronically test as platinum.
- Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
