Condition Report

A Thai ruby and diamond cluster ring. The marquise-shape ruby, with brilliant-cut diamond surround, to the similarly-cut diamond trefoil shoulders and grooved band. Verbal from GCS, stating Thailand, no heat. Estimated dimensions of ruby 12.5 by 6.4 by 3.3mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Austrian marks. Ring size N1/2. Weight 12.5gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Wear to white metal plating.
  • Diamonds well matched and bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
  • Diamonds appear clean with few minor inclusions noticeable under 10x.

  • Ruby very slightly loose in mount.
  • Ruby is a deep medium, purplish red hue, well saturated.
  • Ruby in good condition with some nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
  • Natural cavity to the pavilion facets.

  • Stamped 750.
  • Dimension of ring head 25 by 14.2mms.
