A mid 20th century 18ct gold opal and diamond ring. The marquise-shape opal cabochon, with brilliant-cut diamond collet and stylised foliate sides. Estimated dimensions of opal 21.6 by 10.4 by 3.3mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Ring size R1/2. Weight 4.3gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear and small dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Band slightly out of shape, possible replacement band.
- Band shows evidence of resize, slight discolouration and pitting.
- Diamonds well matched and bright.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Diamonds have small, light and dark scattered inclusions.
- Opal is translucent with good play of colour across a range of hues.
- Opal in good condition with minor abrasion.
- Width (at widest) 18mms.
