A George III silver swing-handled bonbon dish.

Condition Report

A George III silver swing-handled bonbon dish, of oval pierced form with laurel leaf rim border and trailing embossed beaded and fluted lines, with twisted swing handle and raised upon a conforming footed base with rope-twist rim. Hallmarked London 1768, maker's mark partly obscured ?M. Height inclusive of handle measuring 5 inches (13 cm), weight 4.3 ozt (135 grams).

Purchasing information
    In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Slightly heavier tarnish area to the centre. The swing handle is self supporting but the one fixture point moves slightly sideways in its joint, possible replacement pins to either end. Maker's mark partly obscured ?M, other hallmarks clear and legible.
