Purchasing information
The toast rack is in a poor condition, displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One of the end bars is detached to one side and hangs off the base. The central bar has been filed to either side beneath the handle. The toast rack looks distorted in shape causing the bars to not align, it also wobbles slightly. Noticeable dents to the ball feet. Visible signs of crude solder repairs along and around the bottom of the other bars and to opposing ends of the central base support, requires attention. These repairs have caused the lion passant to become obscured, other hallmarks clear and legible. The dish is engraved with the initial 'G', would benefit from a clean and polish, maker's mark partly obscured, other hallmarks clear and legible.
