Condition Report

An early 20th century 15ct gold split pearl and enamel pendant. The split pearl cluster, atop a green guilloche enamel disc, with black dotted white enamel and seed and split pearl scalloped surrounds, suspended from a hinged surmount and later trace-link chain. Length of pendant 3cms. Length of chain 44.5cms. Total weight 8.9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Pendant has been made up from a larger piece of jewellery.

  • Green panel is slightly loose.
  • Pearls are replacements.

  • Split pearls creamy white, with typical surface features.
  • Width of pendant 2.5cms.

  • Chain width 1.8mms.
  • Pendant tests as 15ct gold.

  • Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
