An 18ct gold opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal cabochon, within an old-cut diamond surround, to the plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 2.60cts, H-J colour, VS-P2 clarity. Hallmarks for London, 1982. Weight 7.4gms.

Old-cut diamonds bright and lively, some of the stones with surface reaching inclusions, some stones with scattered inclusions and surface nicks to the girdle and pavilion. Diamonds assessed within the limitations of the setting. Opal showing good play-of-colour with flashes of green, blue and orange visible. Opal cabochon with surface abrasions.
