A mid 19th century gold, garnet and split pearl hinged bangle, circa 1850. The graduated oval garnet cabochon and scrolling foliate engraved leaf motif, to the replacement glazed hair and split pearl panel circular sides, hinged to the acanthus leaf hinged sides and push clasp. Inner diameter 6.3cms. Weight 20gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
- One of the glased hair and split pearl panels is loose to one side, both are replacements, with soft solder visible.
- Possible repair to clasp, with discolouration.
- Small dents to one side of the hinged section.
- Garnets are in closed back settings, presumed foil back with a slightly purplish red hue, fair to good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Stones in good condition with mostly minor abrasions, one small chip to one gem.
