Condition Report

Three late Victorian and Edwardian gold brooches. To include a 15ct gold peridot and split pearl scroll brooch, a 15ct gold cannetille brooch, together with a 9ct gold split pearl and blue gem heart and thistle brooch. One with hallmarks for Chester, 1903. Lengths 2.6 to 4.5cms. Total weight 8.3gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Two base metal pins, possible replacements.
  • Possible replacement gems.
  • Small section of cannetille deficient, possibly originally with glazed panel reverse.
  • Peridot is a medium moderately yellowish green hue.
  • Split pearls well matched.
  • Glue visible to some blue gem mounts. Blue gems appear mostly paste.
