Description

Condition Report

A mid 20th century gold diamond and gem-set brooch. Designed as a crown, set throughout with alternating cushion-shape sapphires and old-cut diamonds, to the rose-cut diamond undulating line and circular-shape sapphire, ruby and emerald highlights. With report 78135-10, dated 22nd December 2017, from GCS, stating Basaltic, no heat, estimated total sapphire weight 3cts. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 2.10cts, H-I colour, P1 clarity. Length 4.5cms. Weight 15.3gms.

  • One diamond loose, handle with care.
  • Diamonds bright.
  • Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.
  • Old-cut diamonds are assessed with limitation of setting, actual colour and clarity may be different.

  • Sapphires blue, fairly well saturated, in good to fair condition with minor abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
