Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold zircon and diamond ring. The circular-shape blue zircon, with rose-cut diamond openwork gallery and similarly-set shoulders. Estimated dimensions of zircon 14.1 by 14 by 9.5mms. Ring size L1/2. Weight 5.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band shows evidence of repair/ resize.
  • Band showing fairly significant wear to the base.
  • Band appears to be unoriginal to the head. Consistent in age.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate weight estimation and colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with some small light inclusions under 10x magnification.
  • Zircon is a medium greenish blue hue, well saturated, with clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Zircon in good to fair condition with some abrasions and small nicks to facets and facet edges.

  • Stamped 18ct, partially indistinct.
