Victorian silver rattle

Condition Report

Victorian silver children's rattle, the embossed and shaped body with six suspended bells, whistle and mounted coral teething aid. Hallmarked Birmingham 1875 and the makers mark T?. Length measuring 13 cm.

Purchasing information
    The rattle displays general wear commensurate with the age and use. There are surface marks and scratches and a little tarnishing. The whistle mouthpiece is leaning slightly to one side. There are some minor dints/nicks, especially to some of the bells and other decoration. There are remnants of old polish. Hallmarks are slightly rubbed but still clear and legible. Maker's marks rubbed and illegible - possibly a T.
