George I silver caster the body of octagonal form with floral embossed panels on a frosted background, the waisted body raising to a scroll pierced detachable lid with shaped finial, hallmarked to the base Britannia silver London 1716, makers mark Wa, height measures 7 1/2 inches (19cm), weight 9.46ozt (294grams).

Purchasing information-
Much of the wear is in keeping with the age and use with general scratches, marks and tarnishing, there is some damage to the piercing on the lid - small dents and tears/breaks, the final does not quite sit straight. The hallmmarks to the base, the Britannia mark is clear, the lion is part rubbed and the top of the date letter is also rubbed, the makers' mark to the base is almost completely rubbed, the makers mark is also visible to the neck of the lid but again this is also very rubbed.
