An emerald and diamond bar brooch.

Condition Report

An emerald and diamond bar brooch. The oval emerald cabochon to the slightly graduated brilliant-cut diamond collet sides. Estimated total diamond weight 0.55ct. Unhallmarked. Length 6cms. Weight 6.6gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The back of the brooch has areas of deeper scratches and tarnish/discolouration. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated I-J colour, SI2-P1 clarity with scattered dark inclusions. Please see important notices in the back of the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The emerald has a slightly yellowish green hue with a large number of typical inclusions, including surface reaching fractures and surface pitting, that effect the transmission of light through the gem. Some of the fractures show brownish discolouration. The emerald measures 15.3 by 11.5 by 6.9mms.
