A continental cameo, diamond and ruby necklace. The oval shell cameo carved to depict a lady and dove, within a brilliant-cut diamond and circular-shape ruby triple-row surround, suspended from a stylised foliate-link chain with ruby spacers. Estimated total diamond weight 5.20cts. French import marks. Length of pendant 7.4cms. Length of chain 41cms. Weight 43.5gms.

Purchasing information-
Overall condition fair. There are slight scratches to the necklace in keeping with slight wear. The chain is not necessarily original to the piece. There is a French second hand mark to the clasp. The rubies are fairly well matched, they do vary in tone, there are easily visible inclusions to many visible with magnification and with the unaided eye to the larger rubies, there is abrasion to some. The diamonds are bright, estimated H-J colour, P1-P3 clarity. There are visible inclusions to many visible with the unaided eye, the durability possibly impaired. Some of the settings may need to be secured. The cameo is a little loose and may need to be secured. The clasp is secure, there is a file mark to the clasp.
