A turn of the century Russian silver Niello belt, designed as a series of three graduated disc links, to the scalloped buckle with hunting dagger fastening and stylised foliate niello enamel and engraving throughout. 1896-1980 Kokoshnik mark for Alexander Virjohovsky at Kostroma, 1899. Makers mark for Yakov Sorokin. Length 81cms. Weight 198.6gms.

Purchasing information-
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The buckle itself has some small dents. One of the small circular link fixings to the buckle has been replaced with black thread. There is minor wear to the niello. Each of the links and dagger is stamped with a purity and makers mark, most are worn. There is an area of heavier scratches to the reverse of one side of the buckle. There are general small dents and areas of tarnish/discolouration.
