George III silver pedestal cream jug.

Condition Report

George III silver pedestal cream jug, the bulbous body decorated with a landscape scene depicting a cottage, trees, a dog and a bird and with a central vacant cartouche, the whole with a punched beaded rim, a scroll handle with conforming bead detail and raised above a spreading circular foot with foliate decoration. Hallmarked Charles Hougham, London 1782. Height measures 4 3/4 inches (12 cm), weight 2.63 ozt (82 grams).

Purchasing information
    Jug displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. There are some small surface dints visible in some areas and various minor nicks. There are some small dark marks visible to the vacant cartouche, which are deep scratches. Possible repair to tip of lip. Main rim is very slightly misshapen. Hallmarks are a little rubbed/distorted but still legible.
