Condition Report

(400064-3-A) A silver trinket box of oval hinge form, the lid with a moss agate inlay. Hallmarked John Brashier for Henry Wilkinson & Co Ltd London, 1893, together with five Alvin metal golf-clubs stirrers. Box measures 3 1/4 inches (8.3cm) by 1 1/4 inches (3.3cm). Average stirrer length 21cms. Gross combined weight 9.26 ozt (262.6gms).

Purchasing information
    The lot is in poor to fair overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The moss agate to the lid of the box is possibly a replacement. The agate has been broken in two and has been glued back together, the glue is evident to both sides. There are noticeable chips to the edge. The base of the box is engraved with a retailers "Houghton & Cunn, 162 New Bond St W". There is significant discolouration and tarnish. The golf clubs have bents, dents and discolouration. One of the clubs has two melted areas near the head.
