A platinum opal and diamond cluster ring.

Condition Report

A mid 20th century platinum opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal cabochon within a single-cut diamond surround, to the similarly-set diamond shoulders and pain band. Dimensions of opal 15.6 by 10.4 by 3.4mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham. Weight 6.2gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good. There are slight scratches to the ring in keeping with minor wear. The band has been part hallmarked at a later date. The opal is in good condition with a white body colour displaying oranges, purples and greens. The diamonds are bright, individual size and/or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. There are chips to a couple visible with magnification, some of the diamonds may need to be secured as the appear off straight. The back of the band is a little thin. Ring size O. Weight 6.2gms.
